Our Green Steps
Von Stackelberg Hotel Tallinn participates in the Green Key environmental programme. We aim to provide our guests with a pleasant, high-quality accommodation experience while reducing the environmental impact of our operations.
Von Stackelberg Hotel Tallinn strives to be an environmentally friendly host committed to:
- Conserving natural resources by reducing water and electricity consumption while providing our services.
- Reducing waste through sorting and recycling, and ensuring proper wastewater treatment.
- Using environmentally friendly cleaning products.
- Using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients in our restaurant.
- Offering organic and natural products for sale.
- Continuously raising environmental awareness among our employees.
- Encouraging our employees, partners and guests to adopt and promote environmentally responsible practices. Every year, we organise a “Green Day” to raise awareness of the hotel’s eco-friendly initiatives. Through these efforts, we aim to contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable future for generations to come.
- Promoting opportunities for outdoor activities and active leisure in Tallinn’s Old Town and surrounding areas (Kadriorg, the Estonian Open Air Museum in Rocca al Mare, Nordic walking pole rental, etc.).
How Can You Help?
We encourage our partners and guests to embrace sustainable practices because every small action makes a difference! Thank you for helping us protect Estonia’s natural environment and supporting our green initiatives by taking the following simple steps:
- Save electricity by switching off the lights when leaving your hotel room.
- Conserve water by turning off the tap when it is not in use.
- Choose Tallinn’s high-quality tap water instead of bottled water and use a reusable water bottle whenever possible.
- Help reduce water, energy and detergent consumption by placing towels that need washing on the bathroom floor and hanging up towels you wish to reuse.
- Support our sustainable housekeeping policy by requesting daily room cleaning only when necessary. All Unique Hotels Group hotels follow sustainable practices, which is why we do not automatically provide daily housekeeping. If you would like a light room refresh and waste collection, please inform the hotel reception by 11:00 PM the previous evening.
- Sort your waste in your hotel room: place packaging next to the waste bin, paper and cardboard on the table, and general household waste in the bin.
- Dispose of hazardous waste responsibly by handing used batteries, e-cigarettes and other hazardous items to the hotel reception staff.
- Choose environmentally friendly transport when exploring the city. Walk, cycle (bicycle rentals are available in Tallinn’s Old Town; please ask reception for more information), or use public transport (the nearest stop is “Hotell Tallinn”).
- Explore nearby green spaces and attractions on foot or by bicycle, including Hirvepark, Falgi Park and other parks and sights in the surrounding area.
